User_name has a set of those. I think he fits 305 on his C5 z06. He does pretty good.

He has wider fenders than me, that why he can fit them. I've seen a lot of people having success with the set up I mentioned. Just under $700 for both rims and tires....

Lots of guys making 850-900+ on stock bottom end. Some blow up at 600. Lol

The LSA is supposedly a stronger block, forged crank and lower compression than an LS3. I don't think LS3's have oil squirters for the bottom of the piston either.
