less than 600 and a chevy...............not sure if welcome or not. car is set up for road racing, but i'll give it a go in a straight line

Hi Geoff,

Glad you can make it. Post up some pictures of your Camaro when you get a chance. What modifications have you done?

We normally do our Tacos and Tires the 2nd Sunday of each month. I'll keep you in the loop.

 I didn't say it was the best, I said I drink it
the BEST beer is the one in my hand

anyway.........5th gen Camaro with headers, mild cam and rear girdle to make a reliable daily driver and weekend road racer

ok first bit of humility, how do I post pics from my HD?

Currently you'd need to upload them to a image hosting site and link them here but I think Sam might turn on attachments.

How much power does that setup make? Or is that top secret? Ever run it at the 1/4 or just road racing? I still love the sound of a nice cam in a muscle car... that's the only thing I don't like about the 5.0.

no secret, 450 and never dragged. only been running some auto crosses around town and also some road races at TWS.
i'll be running at TWS 25/26 Oct and at GSS 1Nov

I do like the sound of a cam, my pipes are pretty quite, so it is subtle
the car is 4000lbs! even with 800hp it is a heavy pig
I am willing to give it a go in a straight line though. it has been a very long time since I've been down a drag strip. used to run at green valley raceway (the advert just played in my head) "Sunday.......Sunday......Green Valley Raceway.............." that was a few years ago.
I was running a bored 350 Vega with a 3000 stalled powerglide, 3.73's and 13 inch rims. those were the days

I start travelling tomorrow night, that means i'll be in planes and airports for the next 48hrs.........it is always good to get home

Glossary:
TWS = Texas World Speedway, out by College Station
GSS = Grand Sport Speedway, down in Hitchcock

I'm technologically challenged, so you'll have to wait and see the car in person. I look forward to meeting y'all and Sam, I'm looking forward to a beer sometime.
