Postby JP5.0 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 1:20 pm

New here. Owner of a 2014 5.0 with a few bolt ons. I have a Single turbo Hellion kit i've been staring at for about 6 months waiting to gather up the rest of the stuff i need to install.
Big fan of the vids!

Hey man! What's holding you back on the turbo? We have another guy on here with the same kit that won't get it tuned.

Of course I cannot talk, it took me 3 months to get my On3 car running. What's the plan for the turbo? How much boost are you wanting?

Welcome! How much power are you trying to make with that kit? Corn or 93?

I don't really know...lol
It's still VERY stock. I'm still using that crappy stock shifter.. I still need to buy injectors, and a BAP. And i have this weird feeling that if i install the turbo before the warranty is up, it will instantly break! I have that kinda luck...

No corn up here. I'll actually probably run it on 91. Mine seems to be a freak for timing, when i was tuning it, it was pulling 29 on its own. Which isn't bad, but i DD mine, so i wanted to keep her safe.

Should easily achieve 550rwhp with that.

What software were you using to tune it?

A6 or M6?

Did you tune it yourself or whos tune are you running? You realize ford can tell if you run a tune and will void your warranty(even if you put it back to stock before taking it in). Sooo you may as well put the turbo on. :)

Yeah, the Diablo/SCT handhelds aren't much of a tuning device. I purchased HPTuners to learn the Coyote platform and it really looks like HPTuners isn't quite there either. :-(

So, it's back to using a tuner for my TT tuning.

You need to just bite the bullet and install the Hellion kit. It's night and day difference. If you get a good tuner to tune the car, you can see that much power on pump gas and 7 psi.

Yeah what slowFiveOh said.
